8 Steps to Effectively Manage Stress

Remember that life isn't stressful, only the meaning we give to things can become stressful.  You can take control and direct the meaning of everything in your life.  The following information outlines a new way of approaching how to deal with challenges and can assist you in overcoming situational stress and taking charge of your energy!

1.  Let it go! - Let go of old mental junk that may be clouding your thinking.  If old frustrations with people or events are still bothering you, imagine how you will handle it differently next time, and forget it for good.

2.  Get comfortable with change - Things change, always.  The most effective people are flexible and do not get stressed about trying to control a situation that seems to be constantly moving.  The first step to managing change is calming your mind so you can see the situation, take a deep breath and review your options without anxiety.

3.  Stay calm - Almost all of us have a trigger that sets off an anxious or stressed out feeling.  Sometimes the stress is so great that the feeling is constantly present.  When you feel the anxiety or trigger about to hit - STOP EVERYTHING!  Take a five minute break.  Close your eyes and count from 50 down to 1.  Do something to let the stress or trigger flow out of your mind and regroup.

4.  Get organized - If the "to do" list is growing out of control, take a few minutes every morning and review what needs to be done.  Select the items that are top priority and work the day around those, the other items are secondary.  Do not tie your emotions into clearing the list.  There will always be things to do, and there will always be more time to do them.

5.  Watch what you eat - Certain foods can have a major impact on your system and level of energy.  Pay close attention to what you eat when you start to feel a lack of energy after meals, do your best to reduce or eliminate these foods from your diet completely.

6.  Drink plenty of water - Water is one of the most important requirements to maintain health in the human body.  Water is necessary for the proper functioning of organs, muscles, joints, skin and of course the digestive system.  Drink at least one glass of water before every meal, before bed and when you feel tired.  You will be amazed at the results!

7.  Reward yourself - What is something that you are very passionate about but have not made time for recently?    The more balanced you become, the more effective you will be in times of challenge.  Make the time and go for it!

8. Get assistance - Hypnosis is a clinically proven way to counter the effects of stress.  With hypnosis, you can easily uncover the triggers that are causing your stress, create new ways to respond in these situations and readily embrace these methods for lasting change.

I loved the atmosphere here!  Very relaxing and soothing.  I knew what my goals were but wasn't so sure about how I was going to get them.  Slowly but surely everything came together and I am on the right track for success and feel very confident that we have made a big improvement.

You know I was pretty skeptical about hypnosis but my sister convinced me to come see you and Wow! I felt great after, totally confident in myself, and my head is totally clear about what I need to do with my relationship. Thanks!
